About Us
Genesis is a vibrant ladies’ hockey club based at St Raphaela’s School in Stillorgan, and at its heart, we are a community.
We are home to over 150 senior members across six league teams, as well as a fantastic Vets team comprising women who have been playing together for more than 25 years and continue to welcome new players.
Our Junior section is thriving too, with over 500 junior members from 1st Class through to Transition Year.
With teams catering for all ages and abilities, Genesis promotes skill development, teamwork and a genuine love of the game.
Our members share a passion for hockey and a warm, welcoming spirit that fosters lifelong friendships and keeps the club growing year after year.
Our History
Genesis was founded in 1976 by a group of UCD and Trinity graduates who built lasting friendships during their student days.
With a shared love for hockey, they officially established the club on 7th September 1976, entering two teams into Leinster competitions the following year.
That same spirit of camaraderie and ambition continues to define Genesis Hockey Club today.
