We have an inspiring team of talented coaches who bring all their invaluable experience to help develop the girls’ skills and encourage a better understanding of the game in line with the IHA’s Hooked for Life model. All our coaches have been Garda vetted and have completed the Safeguarding Course for working with Children. Genesis are facilitating our Junior coaches to complete their Irish Hockey Association (IHA) Level 1 coaching course.
At Genesis we believe in trying to help each player maximize their abilities and so some members from our secondary school Colts will be offered a place in the Club’s “G-Force Squad”. They will be offered an additional mid-week training session which is designed to stretch them as players and they work in a small group environment to help improve their technical skill set.

This glamorous gallery will hopefully help put some faces to the names (or vice versa) of the Genesis Colts coaching and management team (and K9 friends!).

Genesis Juniors is a successful and vibrant part of our club which has been running for over 30 years. The club is committed to providing a safe and fun environment for young people to participate in and enjoy sport. The junior section of the club has grown to over 350 members and is vital to the future of the club. We have 24 coaches, coaching 9 secondary school teams and primary school groups from 1st - 6th class. We train and play on two adjacent pitches in UCD from 10am - 1.30pm on a Sunday morning with all the added benefits of UCD’s excellent facilities. Our under 16’s train and play competitive matches on a Sunday afternoon in our Senior Club’s Home ground at St. Raphaela’s Secondary School, Kilmacud.
As well as the hockey, the club has a vibrant social side which at junior level can range from cinema outings and fun days to overnight trips. We believe hockey is a great way for girls to make friends and keep fit and has the potential to become a lifelong passion as it has for many of us in the club.
