Location

UCD Facilities
We understand that you may have daughters training at different times and hopefully you can arrange car-pooling with other parents but UCD is a great venue. If you are joining us on a Sunday morning there is plenty to keep you busy. You can go for a jog, walk the dog, have a coffee or watch the session, just wrap up warm as standing on the sidelines can get chilly.

Patterson Pitch

  • UCD Campus, Roebuck Rd, Dublin

UCD Water Based Pitch

  • National Hockey Stadium

St. Raphaela's School

  • Please check the location of your fixture as a number of junior matches are played at our Senior Club’s home grounds of St. Raphaela’s School, Kilmacud.

  • Our U16’s also train here on a Sunday from 12.30 -2.30pm.

Facilities

Toilets
Please note that the toilets are in the UCD Sports Hall. If your child’s training is on the Patterson Pitch it is important that your child visits here first, as the distance to make a trip during training would be disruptive to their session.

Parking
Sunday mornings can be busy in UCD. Parking is usually free but there are some spaces that require pay and display, so always read the signs. Cars are frequently clamped in UCD so only park in designated spaces and with a parking ticket where appropriate.

The carpark to the far right of the hockey pitches is a membership only car park for the Sports Centre, so avoid parking here unless you happen to have a permit.

Coffee Shop
At the main entrance to the new sports centre is a coffee shop, open from 8am.
It can also be accessed through the doors near the waterbase pitch, just follow the smell of coffee to the front of the building, beware that your scent may be thrown off a little as you pass the changing rooms! There are plenty of seats and places to read the papers and a hot chocolate is always popular when waiting for older sisters to finish. There is also a Centra on campus.

Walking and Running
UCD is a great place to walk or run while your daughter is training. There are a number of routes including a signposted 5km perimeter one.
